Christmas Colours

I’ve been hard at work in the Revived Radios workshop producing some craftily, customised, christmas-coloured (ok that’s enough alliteration) Roberts Radios.   One in a gorgeous red and green, genuine Harris Tweed from the Shawbost mill on the Isle of Harris and one in rare sweetheart rose oilcloth from Cath Kidston.  Both radios are fully refurbished and guaranteed and come in a Revived Radios gift box.  They make a unique christmas gift.  Even the person who has everything won’t have one of these!

Roberts Radio In Bespoke Harris Tweed Jacket

At Revived Radios we’ve been customising Roberts Radios in Harris Tweed and other fabulous fabrics for over four years.  We thought it about time that we fitted one with a proper tweed jacket.  This required quite a lot of work on our sewing skills so we hope you like the result.  His left lapel even has a buttonhole for the flower of your choice. Any time, any place, anywhere – The original Roberts Revival

We have recently refurbished two original analogue Roberts Revival radios.  Roberts were inspired to create this model by the demand created when a vintage Roberts radio was featured in an 80s Martini advert.  These were some of the last Roberts Radios to bear the ‘Made in England’ label and were upholstered in much more durable coverings than the later Roberts Revivals.  One is in a ravishing, red Rexine cover and one in beautiful blue, genuine leather.  After a full check up (with any dodgy parts replaced) and a good clean and polish they are looking as good as when they left the Roberts’ Factory in East Mosley.   See them and our other re-covered and refurbished radios at www.revivedradios.com

Comic Relief Radio

At Revived Radios we were recently asked to produce a custom radio for the retirement of their CEO Kevin Cahill.  We were happy to do this and it looks like Kevin was happy with the result.  Happy Retirement!

Sound Waves in Orange

As a child of the seventies this fabulous orange fabric brought back some memories.  Our kitchen had wallpaper like this circa 1973.  I’m not sure I’d like my kitchen to look like that now but on this classic Roberts Radio it looks groovy baby.   See it at Revived Radios
